How do I make sure pavers don't move?

Polymeric Sand needs a minimum depth of 4 cm (1 ½”) to be effective. Use a power washer to empty the joints. If there is already polymeric sand between the pavers, soak the sand to soften it up before emptying the joints.
Most poly sands are considered “rain proof” after one hour, but I wouldn't bet the bank on that. You really want at least 24 hours of warm, dry air to ensure that the poly sand completely sets. Sustained dampness prior to setting may damage the poly sand to the point it will never set.

This substance, when properly mixed, can last for 8 to 15 years. Yes, once it starts to crack, weeds may once again start to grow through the sand. However, for at least a few years after having applied it, it will completely stop weeds from growing through the cracks in between pavers.
You can mix one part of salt with three parts of water and spray that mixture on the weed. When it's dry, pour dry salt in between the pavers. It's best to do this when it's not windy so that the salt stays in place. Hot water: Boiling water prevents the germination of seeds, and this can stop the weeds from growing.
Using Bleach to Kill Weeds Permanently
Apply one cup of bleach, undiluted, to the afflicted area. Wait until the weeds turn brown before pulling them out of the ground. Run water around the area to flush the bleach, especially if you are trying to grow plants or grass in that area.
